Our Mission
It is challenging to reconcile with our spouse and other important relationships without first reconciling with God. But what does reconciliation with God look like? We at Christian Family Life believe Scripture provides us a clear pathway. With nearly 40 years of experience, Larry provides compassionate counseling rooted in biblical principles. Our mission is to uplift individuals and couples, guiding them through life’s challenges with love, understanding, and faith.
Together, we’ll build stronger relationships and find hope for a brighter tomorrow by:
- Navigating grief
- Dealing with the aftermath of divorce or adultery
- Managing anger
- Walking through depression
- Escaping anxiety
- Passing through trauma
- Applying principles of godly parenting
About Larry
Using the Scriptures as framework, Larry has counseled individuals and married couples in Washington, DC, and central Virginia since 1985. During that time, he has served as the director of counseling and seminar development of Christian Family Life, co-authored a daily devotional entitled Time Out, and also established the admissions and counseling system for a Christian-based residential program for adolescent boys started by NFL and NASCAR legend Joe Gibbs in Northern Virginia.
Formerly on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ for ten years, Larry spent three of those years working as a vocational missionary in Swaziland, southern Africa. He received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University in 1974 and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from George Mason University in 1985.
An ordained minister, Larry and his wife Norma have four sons, two of whom are married, with ten grandchildren. They live on a farm in central Virginia where they raise llamas, goats, and chickens.
